Most business websites are built, launched, and then largely ignored until something breaks or a competitor's site starts looking embarrassingly better. The Website Care Plan exists to prevent both outcomes without the client needing to think about it.
Websites require ongoing attention: WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates that must be tested before deployment; security monitoring and malware scanning; performance checks; broken link monitoring; and regular backups with tested restoration. For businesses that do not have an internal web team, this is a recurring cost of doing business with a website — it just usually goes invisible until something fails at the worst possible moment.
The care plan covers all of this on a monthly cycle. Plugin and core updates are applied to a staging environment, tested for compatibility, and then pushed to production. Backups run daily to off-site storage. Security scans run weekly. Performance is checked monthly against the baseline established at launch.
Beyond the maintenance work, the plan includes a monthly content update allowance — text changes, image swaps, new pages from a template — so the website does not stagnate. Many of our care plan clients use this allowance to update seasonal promotions, add new team members, or publish news.
The plan is structured as an annual subscription, billed annually. For websites we did not build, we run a two-week onboarding audit before starting the plan to establish baselines and fix any immediate issues.

A Florentine professional services firm avoided a major ransomware incident. Their malware scan flagged an exploit attempt in a contact form plugin the week before the vulnerability was publicly disclosed.
